Snider Elizabeth Snider died at her home in Kitchener, Ont. , July 13, 1936. She lived to be 95 years old. Deceased was born near Breslau. Her late husband, Samuel S. Snider, predeceased her 20 years ago. She was the last surviving member of the Daniel Reist family. She was a member of the Waterloo Mennonite Church. Services were conducted by J. B. Martin. Text, Isa. 3: 10, 11. Burial in the David Eby Cemetery.

CELEBRATED NINETIETH BIRTHDAY
Dinner Given to Mrs. Samuel Snider in Honor of Event. Enjoys Good Health.
A happy and interesting event yesterday afternoon was the dinner party given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. Homeyer, Wellington St., in Kitchener, in honor of the latter's aunt, Mrs. Elizabeth Snider, widow of the late Samuel Snider, it being the occasion of her ninetieth birthday. The aged lady continues to enjoy splendid health and follows the happenings of the days with keen interest. She was showered with congratulations by her numerous friends. The dinner table was tastely decorated with candies and a lovely birthday cake.

Mrs. Snider, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Reist, was born March 25. 1841, on a farm one mile east of Breslau. In 1864 she married Joseph Heckendorn, who predeceased her in 1885. In 1891 she married Samuel Snider, who died in 1912. She is the last member of her family. Her brothers Peter, John. Levi and David Reist and her sisters, Mrs. Henry Good of Conestogo and Mrs. Jacob Woolner of near Breslau died many years ago.
Mrs. Snider, owing to failing eye sight is not able to engage in needlework at which she was most proficient. She was an expert in patching of beautiful quilt patterns and, "The Bear's Paw". "The True Lover's Knot". "The Mississippi Valley" and "The Blazing Star" were patterns most popular in the early days. She is a lover of music and attended the ploneer singing schools when a girl..
Mrs. Snider during her early married life lived on a farm several miles from Waterloo. In later years they resided in Waterloo and since two years ago made her home with her niece, Mrs. Homeyer at Kitchener.
