- GATSCHENE, Bertha - At her residence, Heritage Hose, St. Jacobs, on Tuesday, April 15, 1980, Bertha Gatschene, age 87 years, formerly of 47 Willow St., Waterloo.
She was born in New Hamburg and a member of St. Michael's RC Church, Waterloo, the Catholic Women's League and the Carmel of St. Joseph's Guild.
Daughter of the late John and Anna Schultz; wife of the late Leo Gatschene; mother of Clarence and Gerald, both of Kitchener, Richard of waterloo, grace (Mrs. Delton Wagner) of Moncton, Ont., Ruth (Mrs. Lloyd LaCombe), Marjorie (Mrs. Adam Pietraszko), Teresa (Mrs. Harold Boehmer), all of Waterloo, Elvira (Mrs. Roy Ueberschlag), Mrs. Eleanor Reck, Mrs. Marcella Litwiller, all of Kitchener, Yvonne (Mrs. Jack Schaefer) of Aurora; sister of Herman of Stratford; also survived by 29 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren, predeceased by one brother, six sisters, two grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Rested at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. South, Waterloo, for the parish prayers Thursday at 8 pm. Prayers Friday at 10:30 am, followed by the funeral mass at St. Michael's RC Church, Waterloo, Friday at 11 am. Interment Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener.

Death of Mrs. E. Migliarini
The death occurred at her home here last Friday morning, of Emma Schultz, beloved wife of Mr. Ersilio Migliarini, at the age of 48 years, 5 months and 21 days. She had been a sufferer with diabetes for several years. The deceased was a daughter of the late John Schultz and Mrs. Schultz. She was born in New Hamburg and spent her while life here, being a valued members of the R. C. Church and beloved by a large circle of friends. She leaves her husband and three sons, Arthur, Harold and Oliver, all at home, besides her mother, four sisters and two brother, namely Mrs. George Herringer, Kitchener, Mrs. J. Benninger, Bridgeport, Mrs. Andrew Gatschene, Stratford, Mrs. Leo Gatschene, Kitchener, Aug. Schultz, of Kitchener and Herman Schultz, Stratford. The funeral was held on Monday forenoon to the R. C. Church where the funeral mass was sung by Rev. Father Beachy with interment following in the R. C. Cemetery. The bereaved family have the sympathy of their many friends in their sad loss.
