- STICKNEY, Evelyn (Mrs. Kenneth) - Peacefully, with her family by her side, on Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Victoria Place, Kitchener. Evelyn (Johnson) Stickney, in her 90th year, of RR 1, Elmira. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Stickney (1984). Dear mother of Wayne Stickney of RR 4, Arthur, Joan and Carl Kraus of Winterbourne. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Lyne (Albert) Kuper, Corey Stickney, Deborah (John) Goddard, Bryan Kraus, Bradley Smith, Lisa (Rob) Plaice, Jeremy Smith, Jason (Amanda) Smith and by her 16 great-grandchildren. Sister of Mabel and Arthur Cooper of Montreal and sister-in-law of Elizabeth Johnson of St. Jacobs, Alma Williams of Fergus. Evelyn is also fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents, Richard and Ella (Beaupre) Johnson; her daughter, Linda Smith; her daughter-in-law, Dianne Stickney; her granddaughter, Wendy Price; her great-grandson, Jonathon Goddard; her sister, Irene Mewhiney and her two brothers, Earl and Clarence Johnson. Evelyn was fortunate to be able to stay in her own home with the loving assistance from her many neighbours in North Woolwich. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, March 25 at 11 a.m. followed by interment in the Elora Cemetery. In her memory, donations to the St. Mary's Hospital Cardiac Care Unit would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy. The family wishes to thank the staff at Victoria Place for the loving and compassionate care shown to our dear mother and grandmother.
