He is a gentleman of high literary standing, having stood second in a graduating class of sixty, and has considerable professional experience. The Hamilton Times, in referring to his removal from Stoney Creek, speaks of him in very flattering terms. It says that since he has commenced the practice of his profession he has" stood well with both his professional brethren and the general public in this vicinity, who will all wish him success in his new sphere of labor."
On August 5, 1869 the Chronicle reports that he had moved to Smithville, not having been able to obtain a house in Waterloo. The Canada Lancet December 1, 1878 has the final words Deaths. In Toronto, Oct. 31, Irwin Bridgman, M. D. , in the 34th year of his age.
