  Pauli, William E. - Of New Hamburg, passed away August 17 at St. Mary's General Hospital, in his 79th year. He was born October 5, 1897, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Pauli. He had been a resident of New Hamburg since 1931; a town foreman until his retirement in 1963; a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Lavina Kropf. Surviving are two sons, Karl of New Hamburg, William of Quebec City, Que., four daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Joan) Nabert of New Hamburg (on furlough from India), Mrs. Robert (Patsy) Brenner and Mrs. Emerson (Barbara) Honderich, both of New Hamburg; Mrs. Grant (Grace) MacGregor of Calgary, Alta.; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Scrimgeour of Milverton and 22 grandchildren. He was predeceased by one daughter, Mrs. Clayton Wagner with whom he had resided in Kitchener for two years; also predeceased by two sons in infancy, one brother and one sister. The late Mr. Pauli will rest at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home, New Hamburg, where friends will be received today from 7-9 and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral services will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg on Friday at 3 p.m. Internment in Riverside cemetery, Pastor Paul Schult presiding.
