- LEHMAN, Joan - Passed away suddenly, Saturday, February 14, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 70 years. Beloved wife of the late Richard Joseph Lehman (1997). Loving mother of Patti Lehman of Waterloo, Terri Polo (Stacy Gatensby) of Guelph and Sherri Putt (David) of Bancroft. Mimi to Felicia and Alexis. Dear sister to Frank Bruder (Pearl) of Kitchener and Margie Wilson of Waterloo. Predeceased by her sister, Gladys (1999). Joan was a very active member of the parish life of St. Teresa's Church. She was also very active as a volunteer with the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Waterdown. Joan's family will receive relatives and friends today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. Parish prayers 8:45 p.m. Tuesday evening. Prayers will be offered in the funeral home chapel at 10:20 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 followed by procession to St. Teresa RC Church (44 Leonard St., Kitchener) for a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Fr. David Lewis officiating. Interment Parkview Cemetery followed by a reception in the church hall. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brain Injury Association of Waterloo-Wellington (5A- 607 King St. W., Kitchener, N2G 1C7) would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
