  George McCartney George Arnott McCartney passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the Bonnie Brae Health Care Centre, Tavistock on Wednesday, September 15, 2004. George McCartney formerly of RR 1, Bright in his 92nd year. Born in Ayr, he was a son of Hugh McCartney and Jessie Arnott. George lived and farmed with his brother John on the 14 Concession of Blandford Township for 80 years. Sadly missed by his family, his brother John and his wife Flora of Tavistock and their children Mary Faulkner, Jean McCartney and Kathy Mutch and brother Hugh and his wife Sadie of RR 4, Bright and their children Carol Coombs, Fran Radke, Janet Moss and Jim McCartney. Also missed by many great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Rested at the Glendinning Funeral Home, Plattsville where funeral service was conducted on Saturday, September 18, 2004.
