- BOWMAN, Lydia Anne Peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Monday, July 23, 2012, Mrs. Lydia Anne (Frey) Bowman of R.R.#1, Gowanstown, in her 66th year. Beloved wife of Leander Bowman for 45 years. Dear mother of Carol Bowman of Palmerston, Willard and Janet Bowman of R.R.#3, Listowel, Richard and Rosemary Bowman of R.R.#2, Listowel, Sandra and Randy Martin of Harriston, Gerald and Michaela Bowman of R.R.#2, Drayton, Kenneth and Grace Bowman of R.R.#1, Beachburg, Shirley Bowman of Palmerston, Janice and Marcus Bauman of R.R.#5, Mount Forest, Joyce Bowman of Elmira, Keith and Dorothy Bowman of R.R.#1, Palmerston, Brian and Frances Bowman of R.R.#2, Gorrie, Glenn and Michelle Bowman of R.R.#2, New Liskeard, Gladys Bowman of Palmerston, Stuart and Denise Bowman of R.R.#1, Gowanstown, and Jason Bowman of Palmerston. Also survived by 43 grandchildren. Sister of Tobias Frey and Irene Frey, and sister-in-law of Alvin Frey, Bertha Frey, Urias and Melinda Martin, David Gingrich, and Ruth Frey. Predeceased by her parents Isaac and Mary Anne (Brubacher) Frey, brother Arthur Frey, and sisters Salema Frey, Marion Martin, and Minerva Gingrich. Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Wednesday, 1: 30 to 4: 00 and 6: 00 to 8: 00 p.m., and on Thursday from 1: 30 to 6: 00 p.m. A family service will be held at the home of Leander Bowman on Friday, July 27th at 9: 00 a.m. followed by interment in Brotherston Cemetery before further services in the Brotherston Meeting House. The family would like to thank the nurses from Care Partners and the staff on the 2nd floor of Listowel Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion.
