Mrs. Carmen Facey
Mrs. Carmen Facey, 50, died afternoon in Stratford General Hospital. The former Beatrice Snider, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Snider. Born in Haldimand County on Aug. 23, 1912, she lived in the New Hamburg area and Wilmot, prior to living in East Zorra following her marriage in [unreadable]. For the past 31/2 years she lived at Lot 17, Con. [unreadable], East Zorra, R.R. 6, Woodstock. While residing in Wilmot Twp. she attended Bethel United Church where she was the first president of the Women's Missionary Society, was also a former president of the Princess Elizabeth [unreadable], of the Women's Institute, East Zorra. She was also leader of that Branch's 4-H homemaking Club. In later years she was a member of Hickson United Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Kathryn and Florence, both at home; two brothers, Lawrence (Larry) and C E. (Ted) Snider, both of Exeter; and two sisters, Mrs. Robt. (Grace) Schiedel, RR 1, New Hamburg, and Mrs. Edward (Evelyn) Shuh of Truro, Nova Scotia. Funeral service will be held in Hickson United Church at 2: 00 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, and burial will be in Bethel United Church Cemetery.
