  JOSEPH ERWIN SHANTZ Joseph Erwin Shantz, 59, RR 1, Wellesley, died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. Born in Wilmot Township, Oct. 11, 1908, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Shantz. He was a member of the Wellesley Community Missionary Church and for the past 23 years he has worked at Kitchener. Surviving are his wife, the former Esther Dorsch whom he married Aug. 2, 1938; two sons, Burnell, Kitchener; Larry, Wellesley; two daughters, Miss Joyce and Miss Lyla, both of Kitchener; four brothers, John, Breslau; Elgin, New Dundee; Elmer, Kitchener; William, Vineland; two sisters, Mrs. Leonard (Sarah) Horst; Newbury; Mrs. Alvon (Mary) Lantzer, Goshen, Ind. The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at Wellesley Community Church with temporary entombment following in St. Paul's Cemetery Chapel. Later burial will take place at Oetzel's Church cemetery at Philipsburg. Rev. Lynn Snyder and Rev. T. Losch officiated.
