    • WAMBOLD. - Mary Elizabeth (Fretz) Wambold was born in Markham Twp., York Co., Ont., May 3, 1869; departed this life Oct. 27, 1945; aged 76 y. 5 m. 24 d. In 1892 she was converted during the first revival meetings held b Bro. J. S. Coffman at the Wideman Mennonite Church. She took an active interest in the work of the Sunday school and young people,s meeting. On Dec. 9, 1896, she was married to Isaac A. Wambold and moved to Breslau, where he had charge (with others) of the Cressman congregation. They labored together here for fifteen years and the moved to Markham, where they resided since. She had not been in very good health for many years and was confined to her bed for the last ten months of her life. She leaves her bereaved husband, one son, one daughter, and 5 grandchildren. She was patient in her suffering but longed to be with the Lord. Among the last words to be understood were, "Beneath are the everlasting arms." Funeral services were held Oct. 31, at the home by Emerson McDowell and at the church by Aaron Grove and Moses Roth. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
