    • James W. Swain

      GALT, James William Swain, 77, of 120 St. Andrews St., Galt, died Wednesday at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Galt. A Galt resident most of his life. he was born Sept. 15, 1883, in Brantford. He was a pattern maker for the Babcock-Wilcox and Goldie-Mc-Cullough Company Ltd., more than 35 years before retiring in 1945. He was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and the Canadian Order of Foresters. A son of the late James William Swain and the former Caroline Stunn, he is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth June Watts: one son, Norman of Galt: one daughter, Mrs. Earl (Margery) Thompson of RR 2, Ayr: one sister, Miss Emma Swain of Galt, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers. The body is at the Coutts Funeral Home, Galt, where the funeral will be conducted Saturday, at 3: 30 p.m., by Rev. Duncan Farris. Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery.
