  Stewart, Hector GALT, Hector Alexander Stewart of 15 Brant Rd. S., Galt, a well-known lawyer and Galt city solicitor, since 1935, died Monday, at the South Waterloo Hospital, following a lengthy illness. He was 66. In addition to Galt, Mr. Stewart also acted as solicitor for the Grand River Conservation Authority, South Waterloo Hospital and Ayr. Born in Galt, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hector Stewart, he obtained his public and high school education here, before graduating from the University of Western Ontario and Osgoode Hall. He set up his practice in Galt, in 1932. Mr. Stewart was a member of the Galt Library Board, Wesley United Church, Waterloo County Bar Association, Upper Canada Law Society and past president of the Galt Kiwanis Club and Galt Little Theatre. Surviving in addition to his wife, the former May Teskey, is one son, Hector A.. T. Stewart of Mississauga. The body is at Little's Funeral Home, where Rev. P. M. Smith will conduct the service Wednesday, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Mount View cemetery. Kitchener-Waterloo Record 9 Jun 1970 pg 25
