Sudden Death at Petersburg
Miss Angeline Devitt, daughter of the late Joseph Devitt, passed away at Petersburg Monday at the age of 29 years. The deceased succumbed to an attack of quinsey, being ill only a week. She was a member of Trinity Methodist church, Berlin, and was highly esteemed by all who knew her.
Three sisters survive her, they being residents on Courtland avenue, where the remains were brought today from Petersburg. Miss Devitt was a school teacher, having taught at Petersburg for the past two and a half years.
A large number of friends and relatives of the late Miss Angeline Devitt, attended the funeral Wednesday. The pupils of the Petersburg school, about 50 in number, marched to the church in a body, each carrying a boquet of flowers. The service was conducted by Rev. J. S. Williamson and the pall-bearers were A. S. Hallman, T. Simpson, Geo. Harrison, W. J. Moody, W. J. Wilkinson and A. Bricker.
