    • Prominent Shakespeare Garageman Dies

      ANDREW H. DAUB VICTIM OF PNEUMONIA


      The Village of Shakespeare was saddened on Saturday night when it became known that Mr. Andrew H. Daub passed away at his home following a week's illness with pneumonia. The deceased was a prominent and energetic young business man, conducting an up- to-date automobile service station in the village.

      The late Mr. Daulb was in his 40th year, being born in Baden on May 30th, 1806, a son of Valentine Daub, where he spent his boyhood days. He conducted a garage at Amulree for a short time and then went to. Shakespeare in 1023. He built a fine new garage last summer in the east part of the Village.

      The deceased was an adherent of the Lutheran Church. He was married to Florence Kollman who with five children are left in bereavement. The children are Gertie, Emily, Ronald, Ruth and Harold, all at home. He is also survived by four brothers. Henry, of Nipplging, Gordon, of St. Agatha, Clarence and Alvin, of Amulree, and by two sisters, Mrs. H. Wett- laufer, of Kitchener, and Mrs. R. Cook, of Hampstead.

      The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon from his late home to the Sebastopol Lutheran Church and Cemetery. Rev. Mr. Stockman conducted the funeral service. The cortege which left the heme was the largest seen in Shakespeare in many years.
