Mrs. Wm. Echtnacher(sic), Pioneer of City, Dies at Chicago, Aged 77 Scarce three months after the death of her aged husband, who died here in January, Mrs. Elizabeth Echtnacher, a pioneer settler of Manitowoc, died at Chicago where she made her home with her children and the body was brought here today for burial at Evergreen Cemetery, the funeral being held from the Northwestern depot at 1:20. Mrs. Echtnacher was the widow of the late William Echtnacher and with her husband celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of their marriage at their home on Washington Street last fall. Mr. Echtnacher died in January and his wife removed to Chicago to make her home with a daughter where her death occurred. Mrs. Echtnacher had been a resident of Manitowoc for more than half a century and was widely known and her death will bring sorrow to many friends who knew her as a woman of kindly nature and a true friends. Seven children, five daughters and two sons survive to mourn her
demise.
