      Funeral service for Mr. Evans, who passed away suddenly, on Friday, December 7, 1951, at his home in Haileybury, in his 55th year, was held on Monday at 2 from the Stager-Russ Funeral Home on Galt St. in Hespeler. Rev. Earl F. Smith, minister of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, officiated. Pallbearers: Arthur Evans, Carl Evans, Thomas Aitkins, Clifford Tremain and Robert McCreary; Roy Stevens of Toronto. Interment Hespeler Cemetery. Mr. Evans was born in Puslinch Township. He had served with the Ontario Provincial Police. Following that, he operated a business in New Liskeard. Upon retirement two years ago, he took up residence in Haileybury. Surviving are his wife, Alvina Gomall; one son, Douglas; two sisters, Nina (Mrs. A. B. McCreary); Margaret (Mrs. L. Phillips), both of Detroit; two brothers, Lewis T. Evans of Puslinch; and Calvin E. Evans of Campbellville
