- Mrs. Margaret Lake
PRESTON - Margaret Eliza Key, 73, widow of William Henry Lake, well-known Preston resident for the past 40 years, died in the K-W Hospital Kitchener, yesterday. Mrs. Lake was confined to hospital for a week following a heart attack and a stroke. A native of Oakland, Ont., Mrs. Lake lived in Paris before coming to Preston. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church. the Women's Missionary Society, Golden Rule Bible Class and the Ladles' Aid. A life member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, Mrs. Lake was also a life member of the Preston Red Cross Society, and was a member of the Preston Horticultural Society. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Harris (Violet) Weber, Preston; a son, William H. 0. Lake, Preston; a sister, Mrs. James Taylor, Flint, Mich. Her husband predeceased her in 1950. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Ltd., funeral home, where the funeral will be held on Friday at 4 o'clock. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery. Rev. F. C. Miller of Toronto former pastor of Preston United Church, will officiate.
