  Mrs. Mary M. Spalding PRESTON—Mrs. Mary Magdalen Spalding, 82, of 645 Wellington St., died Monday at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. She was in hospital 10 days. Mrs. Spalding lived in Preston nearly all her life. She was a daughter of John Soeder and Mary Schmidt. She was a member of St. Clement's RC Church here, Catholic Women's League, Altar Society, League of the Sacred Heart, Preston Red Cross Society and Preston Women's Institute. Her husband is dead, but she is survived by three sons, Howard of Waterloo, George and William, Preston; three daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Leota) Weinert, Waterloo; Dorothy and Ann Spalding, both of Preston: 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Solemn requiem high mass will be celebrated at St. Clement's Church Thursday at 10 a.m. with interment in St. Clement's Cemetery, Preston. The rosary will be recited at the Maurice J. O'Brien Funeral Home, Preston, Wednesday, by the Catholic Women's League and the Altar Society at 4 p.m., by the Holy Name Society at 8 p.m. and by the Knights of Columbus at 9 p.m. Kitchener-Waterloo Record 22 Jan 1957 pg 5
