A well-known farmer's wife of North Woolwich was interred in Elmira Union Cemetery last Saturday afternoon in the person of Amanda Miller, beloved wife of Mr. Samuel Umbach. She was born in Woolwich Jan. 27th, 1868, the daughter of the late John Miller, local preacher. In 1889 she was married to her now surviving husband. They had a family of four children, one of whom Ella (Mrs. Emanuel Brox) predeceased her some years ago.

Miller are brothers, and Mrs. Jacob Bird and Mrs. Chas. Bergman sisters of the deceased. Mrs. Umbach suffered a stroke about 1st December last, from which she rallied sufficiently to be up and around but not able to work.
