Late Mrs. Casper Heimbecker Succumbs to Lingering Illness; Funeral Saturday
Mrs. Casper Heimbecher aged 73, a highly esteemed resident of Elmira, passed away Wednesday following a lingering illness. The late Mrs. Heimbecher underwent an operation two years ago from which she made a good recovery. Last April she underwent a second operation and since that time she has been confined to her bed. Of a gentle and lovable disposition she bore her intense suffering with patience and fortitude.
Born in Rotheim, Hessen, Germany, she came to this country with her parents when 16 years of age and settled in Elmira. She was married in 1877 to Casper Heimbecher who survives her with one son Henry Heimbecher of Elmira. One sister, Mrs. Miebach, and one brother, Henry Reh, live in Powhattan, Kansas, Mrs. Heimbecher was a life-long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a member of the Ladies' Aid Society. The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from her late residence, 4 Dunke Street, to St. Paul's Lutheran church where service will be conducted by Rev. F. Malinsky. Interment will take place in the Elmira Cemetery.
