    • Mrs. C. Mortimer Bezeau

      After an illness of 13 years, during which time she was confined to either her bed or wheelchair, Edith Clara Manning, wife of C. Mortimer Bezeau, died early today at her home, 12 Ellen St. East.


      Born in Colborne Township, Huron County, she was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Manning. Early in life she moved with her parents to Clinton where she met and married her surviving husband. A few years later they moved to Goderich, coming to Kitchener 42 years ago.


      Prior to her illness, Mrs. Bezeau was active in church work, and was a life member of the Women's Missionary Society of Trinity United Church. For several years she was corresponding secretary for the Mothers Class of Trinity United Sunday School.

      Surviving, besides her husband, are four sons, H. Mortimer, Lawrence C., and Mervin O., all of Kitchener; Louis M., Lethbridge, Alta.; one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Mildred) McCullough, Holmesville, Ont.; one brother, James Manning, Ernfold, Sask.; one sister, Mrs. Isaac Fisher, Leamington. There are 15 grandchildren. A daughter, Izetta, predeceased her.

      The body will be at the Gruhn Funeral Home until Monday noon when removal will be made to Trinity United Church Chapel for funeral service at 2 p.m. Rev. O. P. Hossie will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Friends are asked to pay their respects prior to the service.
