      Charles B. Eix, 75, of Detroit, formerly of Hawkesville, died Monday night in the London Hospital following a lengthy illness.

      Born near Hawkesville, Nov. 27, 1874, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Eix. He lived in Detroit for the last 25 years, before he was confined to London Hospital recently.

      His wife, the former Clara Glebe, predeceased him 41 years ago. Surviving are two sons, Norman, Detroit; Oscar, Dearborn, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Emmanuel (Emma) Israel, Kitchener; Mrs. Clifford (Naomi) Herbig, Olds, Alta.; two sisters, Mrs. John Ritter and Mrs. Amos Eby, both of Elmira, Nineteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

      Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday (today) at the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Arthur Eissfeldt, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Kitchener, officiating. Burial will be made in the Elmira Cemetery.
