  • Notes 
    • ANDERSON, HEDLEY LEEMING - graduated from the Toronto Medical School in 1868. The Galt Reporter of Feb. 11, 1870 states that he had moved to Ayr from Paris, and he is listed in the 1871 census as aged 26, born in Ontario, wife Susan.

      The Dumfries Reformer reports that he was "about to (1) remove his Drug business ... to Harriston. A Dr. Anderson was in Clifford in 1875 according to the 'Wellington County Directory of that year.

      He eventually settled in Niagara-on-the-Lake where he practised for over forty years, and on his retirement he moved to Toronto where he died on November 11, 1925.
