- MOMBOURQUETTE (Legedza), Mary Anne After a brave battle, Mary Anne is now at rest. She passed away peacefully at the Grand River Hospital on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at the age of 56. Beloved wife of 36 years to Dan. Cherished mother and friend of Catherine Mombourquette and her husband Trevor Saunderson. Dear sister of Bill (Joanne) Legedza, Donna (Jorge) Pintos, and Robert (Pierina) Legedza. Daughter-in-law to Helene Mombourquette and sister-in-law to Annette (Richard) Totzke, Elaine Daly, Carol (Robert) Berger, and Gary Mombourquette. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, William and Mary Legedza, her father-in-law, Wallace Mombourquette and her brother-in-law, Brian Daly. She was employed by the Grand River Hospital for over 15 years with the last 10 years in the Emergency Department. Even in her own dark hours, Mary Anne touched many hearts through her gentle acts of kindness and her gift of poetry. Her love of her family and friends was put first before herself. Mary Anne's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 519-749-8467 on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8:45 p.m. The Funeral Mass for Mary Anne will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church (173 Lourdes St. W., Waterloo) on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. Fr. Edward Sheridan officiating. The reception will follow in the church hall. A private family interment will follow in Williamsburg. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
