- John Histand, "the youngest son of David B. and Elizabeth (Bechtel) Histand, was born near Preston, Ontario, January 2nd, 1826. He was unmarried and had his home with his brother, George, until a few years before his death when he made his home with his sister, Eliza, where he died August 24th, 1879."
