    • He the tenth child of Francis Antoine and Therese Roethel) Anstett. According to Baptismal records kept at St. Boniface Church, New Germany, Wendelin was baptized on April 16, 1848, with sponsors Anthony Scherer and Elizabeth Tauger. The records were taken from Book 1, year 1848, and signed by Rev. P. Ladler. According to the Waterloo County Census of 1851, the Anstett home was a one-story, log cottage. Wendelin was survived by his children: Lawrence (Jennie) Anstett, Mary (Jim) Hall, Phillip and (Mary) Anstett, all of Saskatchewan, Emma Parsons, Tillie (George) Keip of Walla Walla, Washington, Wendelin (Ida) Anstett of Detroit, Michigan USA, Cecilia (Wess) Howell of New Westminister, B.C. Ontario, Frank (Marie) Anstett, of Minnesota USA, Henry Anstett of Detroit, Michigan, Margaret. Brother Philip (Cathrine) Anstett Detroit Michigan USA. 34 grandchildren, several nieces nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his lovely wife Josephine in 1910 son Joseph in 1891, daughter-in-law in 1914.
