- Nafziger.- Peter, son of the late John and Mattie (Gerber) Nafziger, was born at Brunner, Ont., May 13, 1886; died at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital, May 3, 1969; aged 82 y. 11 m. 20 d. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Christina Jantzi, and infant daughter, his second wife, the former Elizabeth Jutzi, and 4 brothers. Surviving are 2 sons (Roy and John), 2 daughters (Vera-Mrs. Norman Helmuth and Dora-Mrs. Lorne Wagler), one brother (Samuel), and one sister (Mrs. Joseph Erb). He was ordained deacon of the Steinman-St. Agatha congregations in 1925. In 1938, he was ordained to the ministry and served the St. Agatha congregation until his retirement. Funeral services were held at the St. Agatha Church, May 6, with Orland Gingerich, Gerald Schwartzentruber, and Henry Yantzi officiating.

Rev. Peter Nafziger
Rev. Peter Nafziger, RR2 Baden, died Saturday in the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital.
He was born in Brunner and moved to the Baden area in 1912. He was a farmer. He was ordained as a Mennonite minister in 1925 and retired in 1965. His first wife, the former Christina Jantzi and his second wife, the former Elizabeth Jutzi both died.
Surviving are two sons, Roy and John, both of Baden; two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Vera) Helmuth, Baden; Mrs. Lorne (Dora) Wagler, RR 1 Shakespeare; one brother, Samuel, Vulcan, Alberta; one sister, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Erb, Wellesley; 12 grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Monday at the St. Agatha Mennonite Church, with burial in the church cemetery,
The Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
