• Notes

  Lorenz E. Scharlach of 103 Waterloo St. died Wednesday at K-W Hospital after a brief illness. He was 86. Mr. Scharlach was born in Kitchener, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Scharlach. He was a resident of the Twin Cities all his life and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He was employed at the H. Krug Furniture Co. Ltd. For 65 years. He retired in 1962. Survivors include his wife, the former Mina Roehr; a son, R. D. (Rudy) of Kitchener; two sisters, Viola and Ann, both of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother and sister. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where Rev. L.E. Wentzlaff will conduct the service Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery. Donations to Lutherwood will be accepted as expressions of sympathy. Kitchener-Waterloo Record, July 16, 1970
