  Funeral of J. Underwood - The funeral of the late Jacob Underwood, whose death occurred in Kitchener last Wednesday, was held on Friday afternoon from the home of his son, Arthur Underwood, with interment in Ayr Cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Johnson of Burford, assisted by Gordon Smith, student assistant from Huron College, London. The pallbearers were: James Burton, Ernest Hooton, John Hammond, Charles Holdaway, Thomas Hawes and Harold Cornford. There were many beautiful floral offerings. The Ayr News Jul 25 1935 pg 6
