  Mrs. Cliff Challenger Former Ayr resident, Phyllis Jean Challenger, passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Monday, August 16th, 1993. Mrs. Challenger was in her 71st year and had been a resident of Cambridge for many years. Born in Parry Sound, she was the daughter of Winston Moore and Phyllis Jackson. Mrs. Challenger and her husband ran Ayr Hardware where Ayr Video is now located, for several years. Later she was employed at the Ayr Post Office. Predeceased by her husband, Cliff Challenger, she is survived by her son, Paul and his wife Nancy of Ayr; her daughter, Lynn and her husband, Joe DeBeyer of RR 1, Ayr; by her grandchildren, Becky and Mike DeBeyer and Ian and Chris Challenger; and by two brothers and three sisters. Complete funeral will be held at Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, today (Wednesday, August 18th, 1993) at 1: 00 p.m. Reverend W. G.
