    • Tragic Death of Harry Hodgson - The community was shocked on Monday morning to learn of the sudden, tragic death of Harry Hodgson, Willison St., aged 37 years. He was found dead in his bed by his step-mother, Mrs. Emma Hodgson, who went to awaken him. Word of his demise was immediately sent to his wife who is a patient in Willett Hospital, Paris. She has been ill for nearly a year. The tragedy was the second in Mrs. Hodgson's family in the space of a month. Four weeks ago her brother, Theodore West, father of 16 children, was drowned in a boating accident at Parry Sound. The late Mr. Hodgson was born in Dickie Settlement where he spent his younger days. Following his marriage to Marie West of Parry Sound he removed to Ayr some 15 years ago. Possessed of a quiet disposition, Mr. Hodgson was a factory worker in Galt where he was well liked by his fellow employees, as well as by a wide circle of friends and neighbors in Ayr. Mr. Hodgson was a man who found his life's fulfillment in his family, made up of six children, which left no time for social activities. The family are adherents of Knox United Church. Surviving, besides his mother and wife, are three sons and three daughters, Erle, Bernard, Robyn, Marta, Wendy and Melody Lynn. Three brothers and three sisters also survive as follows: Bernard of Hamilton, and Joseph and William of Galt; Mrs. Muriel Suddaby of Brantford, Mrs. Doris Schnurr and Mrs. Ruth Gole of Preston. The funeral will be held from the Ball Funeral Home on Thursday at 2.30 p.m. with interment in Ayr Cemetery.
