    • Mary Elizabeth (Bessie) Dance - With her family by her side, Mary Elizabeth (Bessie) Dance entered peacefully into rest following a lengthy illness at Telfer Place, Paris on Wednesday, February 13, 2002. Formerly of Ayr, she was in her 91st year. Born in Paris, she was a daughter of the late Myrtle Louise Midgley and William Elliott Telfer. Bessie devoted her life to her family, the village of Ayr and her church, Knox United where she was a devoted lifelong member of the U.C.W. Bessie was an avid gardener. She was a faithful and loving wife for 61 years of the late John H. Dance (1992). She will be dearly remembered by her children Jane and Marlen Vincent of Seaforth, Don of Ayr, Doug and Carole of R.R. 2, Paris and Anne Dance of Guelph; her grandchildren, Bryan and Lynda Vincent, Lynda and Brian Ruston, Barry and Brenna Vincent, Dianne Dance and Ken Lillycrop, Jamie and Laurie Dance, Karen and David Cordon, Kathy and Rick Elliott and 15 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother Harold and Bernice Telfer of Paris. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Marjorie Wishart and Mildred Cornell and by granddaughter Karen Vincent. Funeral service was held at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home on Saturday, February 16 at 10 a.m. Reverend Fred Hagle of Knox United Church officiated. Interment was in Ayr Cemetery.
