    • Death of Charles Blancher

      Charles Blancher, a former resident of Ayr passed away in Freeport Sanatorium on November 23 in his 70th year. He was born at Foldens Corners, Oxford County. He resided in Stratford for 25 years, where he was employed as a traveller with the William Stone Co. The family came to Ayr in 1921 where Mr. Blancher purchased the butcher business of Wm. G. Ottmann. After spending six years in Ayr they removed to the farm on the property of the Sand Supplies Co., where the next six years were spent. He was predeceased by his wife and daughter Maude (Mrs. James Oliver) three years ago. Surviving are three sons, Harold of Toronto, Alexander of Brantford and Reginald, North Dumfries; and two brothers, John of Ingersoll and Christopher of Ayr. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from Wilson's Funeral Home with interment in Ayr Cemetery.
