- Elizabeth Cressman, "the eldest daughter of Abraham and Mary (Schneider) Cressman, was born near Strasburg, Ontario, October 4th, 1818. On March 19th, 1839, she was married to Benjamin E. Eby who was born February 10th, 1818, and died July 9th, 1872. They resided near Centreville, about two miles south-east of Berlin where they both died. She died February 23rd, 1889. To them were born five children"

EBY - On the 23d of February, near Centreville, Waterloo Twp., Waterloo county, Ontario, Sister Elizabeth, widow of the late Benjamin Eby, aged 70 years, 4 months and 19 days. She was buried in Berlin on the 28th, followed to her last resting-place by many relatives and friends. In the last few months Sister Eby had but very little rest, being in great pain, but which she bore with christian fortitude, and with the assurance that after the afflictions of this life were over there would follow a glorious rest. Funeral services by Daniel Wismer, Samuel Bowman and Noah Stauffer from Rev. 21: 4.
