Notes |
- Sudden Death at Preston
Mr Thomas Law Preston died very suddenly at his residence King street in that village on Sunday morning At an early hour in the morning he arose to look after the stove After attending to this he proceeded to the kitchen and thence to his chamber As he entered the room his wife perceived that he was not looking as well as usual He sat on the edge of the bed for a moment and then presently called to his wife to cover him up quickly that he was so cold. Before she could comply with his request he relaxed his hold and fell back on the bed dead. A physician was called. The cause of death ia supposed to be neuralgia of the heart. Mr Law has been a resident of Preston for about two years He was well and favorably known and enjoyed the respect of all his fellow citizens. He was jovial and affable in manner and honorable in his dealings. He was a chairmaker and up till a short time ago was employed in Preston. Since that time however he has been working in Guelph and other places and had only been home a few days before death occurred. He was a brother-in-law of Photographer Esson.
