- The death occurred at Preston of Herbert Otto Homuth in his 27th year. He was the eldest son of Otto Homuth, manufacturer, of Preston, and a brother of Karl Homuth, M. P. P. He was one of Preston's most popular sportsmen. For a number of years he was manager of the Preston Hockey Club and had been connected with sport for a many years, being a lacrosse player and for some years was manager of Preston's intermediate and senior O. H. A. teams.
