      PRESTON, Sept. 7 - Seriously ill for the past four weeks, Eva Giles, wife of George Farley, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. R. Ball, Preston, at an early hour this morning. She was 76 years of age. Born in Palmerston, Mrs. Farley came to Preston 36 years ago and has resided here since that time. She was an active member of St. Paul's United Church and took a keen interest in church work. Five years ago Mr. Farley and the late Mrs. Farley celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in Preston. During her long residence here the deceased formed a large circle of friends. She had made her home at 518 Waterloo Street, but for the past few weeks had been at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ball. Surviving are her husband, a son, Frank Farley, of Edmonton, Alta., two daughters. Mrs. A. R. Ball, Preston, Mrs. C. N. (Charlotte) Malcolm, Preston and one stepbrother, Frank Clark of Brantford. Eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. The remains are resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held on Thursday at 4 p.m. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
