  Reinhold Anthony (Bun) Lang, a member of a Western Ontario family of tanners and financiers, died at his home in Kitchener on Sunday. He was 87. Born in Kitchener in April, 1893, Mr. Lang was a son of George C. H. Lang, who headed the family business, Lang Tanning Co. Ltd., and Economical Mutual Fire Insurance Co. Reinhold Lang became president of Lang Tanning and a vice-president of the insurance company. His elder brother, Louis LaCourse Lang, preceded him as president of Lang Tanning and Economical Mutual and became chairman of Mutual Life Assurance Co. of Canada and Waterloo Trust and Savings Co., now part of Canada Trustco. Reinhold Lang graduated from the University of Notre Dame and married Angela Kelly of New York. The Langs marked their 60th wedding anniversary in 1975. Mrs. Lang died in December, 1979. The Langs had six daughters, five of whom survive: Mrs. John J. Wintermeyer of Waterloo, wife of a former Liberal leader in Ontario; Mrs. John Nash of London, Ont.; Mrs. Edward Bean of Thornhill; Mrs. M. Justin O'Brien of Toronto and Mrs. James Orr of Waterloo. Mr. Lang also leaves a sister, Mrs. Gerald Slatter of Grosse Pointe, Mich., and a nephew, Howard J. Lang, chairman of Canron Inc. of Toronto. Kitchener-Waterloo Record Tuesday, March 10, 1981 ______________ Father Louis Funcken was a founder of the Congregation of the Resurrection and also the founder of St. Jerome's College. From 1866 to 1890, he was pastor of the adjoining parish of St. Mary's. In 1890, the alumni association of St. Jerome's College began raising funds for a commemorative statue of Father Funcken. The model for the young boy in the sculpture was Reinhold Lang, a local resident. Since completion in 1907, the sculpture has moved three times; first located in a garden on the college grounds, it was moved to another area of the college property, from there to St. Mary's Church in 1990, and finally to its present site in 1991.
