- Schmitt, Frances (nee Culliton) - Passed on to a new life in Christ, peacefully, at Pioneer Care Centre of Freeport Health Centre, on Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, in her 93rd year. Frances was the daughter of the late Michael Culliton and Margaret Mohan late of Ayton, Ont. She graduated from St. Mary's Hospital in 1929 as a Registered Nurse. She was active in the CWL of St. John's Church for 40 years, an Associate Member of the Canadian Martyrs' Shrine, a member of K-W association for Community Living and a past member of various senior clubs in Kitchener. Beloved wife of the late Albert (1968). Loved mother of Michael and his wife Barbara of Calgary, Audrey Bunting and her husband Bryan of St. Catharines, Mary Braun and her husband Ted of Kitchener and Margaret Schmitt of David Fisher Residence, Waterloo. Cherished grandmother to Michael and Deborah, Daniel and Glenda, Maureen and Brian McGregor, Bob and Robin, Debbie and Jody Bunting, Cathy, Sandie and Paul and Stephen Braun; great-grandmother to Kateland, Michael, Evan, David, Natalie, Laura and Jonah. Predeceased by her son, Joseph (1995); four brothers, Rev. Father James Culliton, Peter, Thomas and Michael Culliton (all victims of the 1918 Asian Flu); three sisters, Sister St. James of St. Joseph's (1963), Mary Bell (1992) and Margaret Horrigan (1998). Friends will be received at the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home and Chapel, 51 Benton at Church St., Kitchener, 742-4481, today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers will be said today (Tuesday) at 3: 45 pm form the funeral home. Prayers will be recited from the funeral home on Wednesday at 9: 30 am, followed by transfer to St. John's RC Church for funeral mass at 10 am. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
