  BRUBACKER, Isaac S. - Peacefully, went home to be with his Lord, on Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital. Isaac Brubacker, in his 92nd year, of St. Jacobs and formerly of Elmira.Beloved husband of the late Sarah (Martin) Brubacker, who predeceased him in 1997. Dear Father of Dianne and Wray Martin of St. Jacobs; Grandfather of Charlene and James Brubacher of Fergus and Gerry and Heidi Chalmers of Elmira. Great-grandfather of Cody, Jordan, Matthew and Kaitlyn Brubacher, Keaton and Sydney Chalmers; dear brother of Adline Freeman of St. Jacobs.Predeceased by his parents, Abraham and Angeline (Schallhorn) Brubacker; one son Abner in infancy; two brothers Amsey and Elmer (Salome) Brubacker; two sisters Esther (Nelson) Hoffman, Lucinda (Melvin) Bauman and brother-in-law, Lloyd Freeman.The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. on Wednesday transfer will be made to Woodside Bible Fellowship, 200 Barnswallow Dr., Elmira for funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Allen officiating, followed by interment in Elmira Mennonite Cemetery.In his memory, donations to Missionary World Press or C.N.I.B. would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy."I will be absent from my body, and be in the presence of the Lord."The family would like to thank the staff of St. Jacobs Place, Dr. Bell and the nurses on 5th floor for the excellent care Isaac received.
