At Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday morning, Sept. 3, 1996, Alice Deemert (nee Schmidt), a former resident of St. Peter's Place, Cambridge, in her 77th year, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Bernard E. Deemert of Cambridge (llespeler), who predeceased her in 1980. Dear mother of Marilyn O'Neill (Paul), James (Sharon). Jean Godin (John), all of Cambridge, Linda McAughey (Robert) of Richmond Hill, Patricia Taylor (Gordon) of Manuels, Nfld.; dear sister of Harold Schmidt of Leeds, England. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Terry (Tara), Mike, Angela, Jeff (Jane), Tim, Michelle (Drew), Chris, Paul, James and Gord; and great-grandson, Nevin. Predeceased by her parents, Francis and Anna Schmidt; four brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Deemert was a member of St. Clement's RC Chuch, a former longtime member of St. Mary's of the Visitation RC Church, Cambridge (Hespeler) and a longtime member of the CWL. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge. today (Wednesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Clement's RC Church, 745 Duke St, Cambridge, on Thursday, Sept. 5, 1996, at 10 a.m. Interment in New Hope Cemetery, Cambridge.
