  George Ellis Funeral service took place Friday, in Goderich for George L. Ellis. He died suddenly last Tuesday, at his Goderich home, at the age of 66. Burial was in Elmira. Mr. Ellis was at one time the editor of the Elmira Signet. His wife, the former Gene Aumann, is from Elmira. He is also survived by a daughter, Barbara (Mrs. Barry Foster) of Guelph and two grandchildren: a brother, Walter of Ponoka, Alberta and a sister, Mrs. Bryan White of Loomis, California. He was publisher of the Goderich Signal-Star from 1951 to 1968 and was a past-president of the Ontario weekly newspapers association. The Elmira Signet Apr 19 1972 pg 8
