      Of Golden Years Nursing Home, Cambridge, on Friday, Sept. 21, 2001, at her residence, in her 92nd year. Gladys Benedict, beloved wife of the late Alfred Ibell (1976) and the late James France (1938). Dear mother of Lionel France and his wife Verdella of Hamilton, Harold France and his wife Ellen of Cambridge, Evelyn Emilson and Elaine France, all of Hamilton; lovingly remembered by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of Charles and Emma Benedict. Mrs. Ibell, was born in Stratford, a longtime resident of Cambridge, resided in St. Catharines, for 12 years, returning to Cambridge, three years ago. She was a past member of King Street Baptist Church, Cambridge and Queen Rebekah Lodge No. 54. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, on Monday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The complete funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, at 1: 30 p.m., with Rev. Victor Lujetic officiating. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
