Peacefully on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at the A.R. Goudie Eventide Home, at the age of 98. Wife of the late Klaas de Bock. Loving mother of Jacobus de Bock and his wife Jeannie of Alma, Anne Fougére of Cambridge and Rose King and her husband Bruce of Coboconk and the late Pieter de Bock and late Clara Mulder. Treasured grandmother of Sidney, Caroline, Vincent, Nicole, Aliesha, Robért, Joshua, Meegan, Karmen, Candice and with two handfuls of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Cherished long time friend of Clyde Hamilton. Hazel is the last surviving member of her family, having been predeceased by her brothers, Gerrit, Cornelis, Auke, Johannes, Pieter, Gerrit and Roelof. Hazel was a long time resident of Martin Avenue, Cambridge. Heavily active at International Gospel Centre (IGC), she lovingly embraced her role as a Sunday School teacher, for over 60 years, touching many young lives, also a treasured friend of the Ladies Tuesday morning coffee hour group. Hazel's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at the International Gospel Centre, (35 Charles Street East, Kitchener) with Pastor Mark Emmerson officiating, followed by a reception at the church. Interment Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
