  • Notes 
    • Albert and Mary Ann Douglass had twenty-one children, but only seven survived to adulthood. The children were: George L.; Albert Harvey; Aubrey; Oscar Raymond; Olive Estella, Cora Winnie and Hector Wendall. Mary Ann Douglass died March 14,1912, of chronic bronchitis and what her doctor described as a general breakdown in health. Her husband died May 19, 1913, of appendicitis. They are buried in the Peel Township AME / BME cemetery beside their daughter, Cora Winnie. After the death of Albert and Mary Ann Douglass, the family farm was sold with the proceeds being equally divided among their children, who by then had migrated to the United States or other areas of Canada.
