    • Celestin Siess

      The death occurred on Saturday last of Celestin Siess, formerly of Kitchener and Waterloo, in his 83rd year. The deceased was born in Alsace-Lorraine, France, and came to Canada in 1881. After farming for a number of years he was employed by Bauer Ltd., Waterloo, which position he held for 26 years, ill health being the cause of his retirement four years ago. Shortly after he moved to New Hamburg, residing with his daughter, Mrs. Louis Schnarr. He is survived by his wife (formerly Marion Fischer) and three daughters, Mary of Waterloo, Mrs. George Benninger and Mrs. Louis Schnarr of New Hamburg. The funeral services were held at 9.30 o'clock Tuesday morning from the residence of Mr. Louis Schnarr to the Holy Family Church, interment being made in Mount Hope cemetery. Kitchener. Rev. Father Leo Siess, assistant pastor of St. Mary's church, Kitchener, who is a nephew of deceased, conducted the services.
