- Mrs. Gustav Messerschmidt
Mrs. Gustav Messerschmidt of 552 Frederick St., died Thursday at K-W Hospital, after a brief illness. She was 76. The former Melinda Seim, she was born March 28, 1894, in Ayton, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Seim and lived in Kitchener, for eight years. She was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church. She was predeceased by her husband in 1962 and by three brothers. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elroy (Betty) Ruby, Mackinaw, Mich. and Doris Messerschmidt, Kitchener; one brother, Erwin, Sicamous, B.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Lydia Hodgins, Windsor and Mrs. Wilhemina Gerber, Kitchener and one granddaughter. The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, after 7 p.m., Saturday, where the service will be conducted, Monday, at 2 p.m., by Rev. Paul Eydt of Reformation Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Mount View cemetery, Galt.
