  Mrs. Jacob Gimbel PRESTON, Mrs. Jacob Gimbel, 79, died last night at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Galt, where she had been ill for six weeks. Mrs. Gimbel, a resident of Eventide Home, Galt, for the past six years, was a former resident of Preston. Born here, she was a member of St. Paul's United Church. She was predeceased by her husband, in 1948 and by her daughter, Mrs. Edna Halls of Preston, in 1957. Surviving are a brother, Frederick Burke of Toronto, a sister, Mrs. Gale Legg of Preston, four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. The body will be at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home, where the funeral will be conducted, Monday, at 4 p.m. Burial will be in Preston Memorial Cemetery. Services will be in charge of Brig. A. F. Parkinson of the Salvation Army's Eventide Home, Galt. He will be assisted by Rev. A. T. Waters of St. Paul's United Church, Preston. Kitchener-Waterloo Record 9 Apr 1960 pg 5
