    • Rev. Samuel Sherk, "was born November 3rd, 1822. He resides near Caledonia, Michigan, where he is the possessor of a beautiful farm. He is a member of the Mennonite Brethren in Christ Church, of which body he is a minister. He has proved to be one of the instruments through whom the Lord has done much good in proclaiming the precious gospel unto a dying world. Many have been brought from darkness into light through his labors in the Lord's vineyard. He is married to Sarah Schiedel and has a family of five children".
